In 1974, the AIGA (the American Institute of Graphic Arts) gave an award to the designer of a logo intended to represent the Archdiocesan Youth Commission commission.

Hi Jonathan,
The logo in question received an award from AIGA, but it was not commissioned by AIGA. The AIGA Design Archives (designarchives.aiga.org) contain selected works that have been submitted to our annual design competitions, which date back more than 90 years.
